Inverter also named as controller, is an unnecessary part of solar pumping system. The inverter is innovated by SIHIO and DEYE. It used in our solar powered surface pump like DCQB Brushless peripheral pump, DCHF Brushless centrifugal pump, DCTP Brushless JET pump, and DCLP Brushless swimming pool filter pump.

What function it has?

1. MPPT function. It means Maximum Power Point Tracking. With this function, it can track the Voltage and Current of PV system. And the solar pump can work at the PV system’s best power and voltage. If there is no MPPT function in the solar pumping system, energy from the PV system will be wasted and the solar pump cannot perform at it’s best performance always.
2. Anti-dry run function. A float switch is required to install on the water tank to detect the situation of water level. When the water tank is full or lack of water, the float switch will send a signal to inverter and the pumping system will stop to work. But is this float switch also required to install on the water source place? The answer is NO. Because there is anti dry run function on inverter. When there is less water on the water source, the system will stop to operate.
3. Thermal protection. For grid powered water pump, a thermal protector is usually inserted on the motor to achieved the thermal protecting function. But for sun powered type water pump, the thermal protection function is on the inverter. The effect is better than traditional protector.
4. Soft starter function. Soft starter can prolong the life span of inverter and solar water pump.
5. Voltage, Current, Power protection. When the system is over load or under load, the system will stop to work. When it is back to normal situation, it will operate again.

How does the inverter looks like?

The signal light can flash GREEN and RED. When the pump stop operating under correct situation, the signal light flashes green slowly at a frequency of 1HZ;

When the pump is one the process of operating, the signal light keeps green flashing;

If the positive and negative pole is reversed when connecting, the signal light doesn’t flash.Take off the control panel, inside the controller, there is one signal light will flash. Solution is powered off the system and reconnect.
